Message	they want to be sure that the car is in good shape when they insure it, so you can't make a claim on existing damage. One of the reasons I show my car, and hopefully place on occasion, is to show that my car is not your average 11 year old car with 90K on the clock, but a special example worth top dollar should I need to make a claim.
